newsletter opened by hundreds daily

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

In just a few months, we were able to build Daily Crunch into a daily newsletter that hundreds of people open every day. It was exciting to see such an immediate response. Because it's an email subscription and therefore isn't accessed through web publication, I'm including the copy here so you can get an idea of what the content sounds like.

Please note: The links don't transfer, but this baby was chocked full of 'em.

Trump and Kim Meet in Singapore

Yesterday, President Trump and Kim Jong Un met for five hours in Singapore. Trump announced the U.S. would end the military exercises done with South Korea, but U.S. troops will remain in the South for now. The summit also reaffirmed North Korea would denuclearize, but so far there are no specifics or deadlines on when this should be done or exactly what that means.

Oh, and Kim’s BFF Dennis Rodman attended the event too and wore a shirt advertising a marijuana-themed cryptocurrency startup.

Something to chew when your daughter asks what denuclearization means...

If your kid hasn’t heard about North Korea, experts say you don’t really need to mention it. But if they have, pediatric psychologist Jill Fodstad guides parents on appropriate conversations to have with children for each age. For example:

  • For tweens: Clarify what is factual and what is not. Validate their feelings. Politics are still difficult for them to understand at this age. Don't drop a lot of unnecessary information on them, and use it as a time to reinforce values.

Kids Fined for Not Having Lemonade Stand Permits

Across the country, kids’ lemonade stands are fined for not having the proper permits. Last week, two boys were fined selling lemonade for charity in Denver, these girls were thwarted earning money for a Father’s Day gift in Texas, and a couple years ago, even Jerry Seinfeld's son was fined for his lemonade stand in New York.

There’s nothing more classic than summer and lemonade stands, but getting permits — or paying fines for not having them — can cost little entrepreneurs (or their parents) big.

Something to chew on when the police bust your 4-year-old...

This week, Country Time Lemonade announced their plan to help young lemonade vendors by covering costs up to $300. Just send in a photo of the ticket and they’ll take care of the rest.

In the meantime, here are some tips to nail a lemonade business.

Ariana Grande is engaged… after only weeks of dating

Ariana don’t need permission to test her limits, because it’s her business. And she’s living up to her lyrics. The singer confirmed she is engaged to SNL comedian Pete Davidson, and people are freaking out about it because they’ve been dating for approximately two minutes. And by that, we mean since mid-May.
